This is a piece I wrote back at a time when I was living with one of my very best friends, who is 20 years my junior. We were both single and looking for love, or maybe just something to pass the time. We used to hang out regularly in my backyard (we coined “The Batcave”) with our single girlfriends, scroll Tinder (and a few other dating apps) and shoot the shit. She has since moved on and met her love, NOT on tinder, and I have found my peace, happiness and joy within, and quite honestly, no time or desire to “shop” for a mate. I know when the time is right, and when I am right (ready)….it will happen. In the mean time, I ran across this old piece and it made me laugh, so of course, I had to share.

Yes, we talk about our exes, the more recent, the more often, the more bitter….in time….he’s just a vague memory

Yes, we tinder together….we laugh at your dumb ass selfies in your dirty bathrooms (or worse public restrooms..?) AND you’re flexing?!?  please stop

On a good nite, we also share the hot ones, make recommendations for each other, and even match so we can ask about their hot friends in the picture with them….

And in our dreams…the next swipe is gonna be “the one”…so we keep swiping….it’s like tinder crack 

And to those of you who’ve had success…we’re just jealous….congrats! 

We talk about sex….yeah, guys, just like you….honestly, we’ve become a lot more like you…and a lot of you….are turning into chicks…not attractive …stop whining and being so fucking needy ….

And when I say we talk about sex, the good ones AND the bad ones…don’t worry you were talked about….

We talk shop, jobs, careers, passions, dreams, and plans….

We cook, we eat, we dance, we sing, we act silly, we laugh, we dream, we aspire and we inspire, we encourage, we console, we cry, we hug, we depend, we rely, we defend and we support….all for each other ❤️
