It is Monday September 25th, and I just spent the last three days with 30 strangers and had one of the best experiences in my life.
I am an Advanced Soma Breathwork Instructor for about a year and a half now, and have been practicing faithfully, every morning, for a little over two years. I have obtained my certification soley on-line after starting my Master Trainer and Transformational Coaching journey in 2021. Via numerous weekly zoom calls with a variety of Master Instructors, mentors and the man himself, Niraj Naik, founder and Creator of Soma Breath, I received my Advanced (Level 2) Instructors certificate in March, 2022. I have gained SOOOO much knowledge, wisdom and guidance from all of the Master Instructors over the past couple of years and I absolutely LOVE what this practice has brought to my life, and the fact that I get to share this as a SOMA Breath Instructor makes me very grateful. I am currently in my Transformational Coaching (I think I prefer Transformation Guide) Journey, which I foresee never ending….as I see it as a life long journey and I ALWAYS want to be transforming and evolving….and helping others transform whatever it is they are looking to change.
I was excited to get to Denver, 1) because I had been wanting to get to an in-person event, but had not made that happen until now and 2) because my daughters both live in Denver….so I got to spend some time with them! And I LOVE Colorado. I consider it my second home…spending lots of time there between Denver and Pagosa Springs, where My mom, sister and brother all live.
Upon arrival, I got to meet Kelly who had been one of my mentors early on over Zoom, so it was awesome to get to meet her in person. I had also attended and watched many of Stevens’ classes over the past couple of years….so likewise, getting to feel his energy in person…was empowering, to say the least. A couple of the other students I had talked with in on-line classes over zoom as well, so we got to connect in person also, which is always more organic and authentic. The majority of the students, I believe there were 30 total(?) were all strangers to me.
While this retreat did not give me any further “certification”, it was really just a confirmation and a whole lot of further inspiration, practice, ideas, and the best of all….new connections and friendships. These beautiful souls were vulnerable with each other, supportive and encouraging, and lots of hugs and laughter. And clapping. I guess we did a lot of clapping. lol. I left with many new connections across the entire nation….all with their own unique stories and struggles, but all ultimately compassionate human beings who want to better themselves and help others do the same.
I have said it many times, but I will say again, I LOVE Soma Breath and all the things it has brought together in my life, and gave me the additional life-changing breathwork and meditation practice, which I was missing in my holistic life-style practice. So again, I say thank you Niraj and all the instructors and people behind the scenes who make this practice, platform and community so awesome!
