When I first started my wellness journey nearly a decade ago, I started exploring alternative therapies for holistic healing, and of course when sharing some of my new practices I would always get strange looks or even comments like “really?! that’s crazy!” But ALL of these “weird” therapies are a part of my wellness practice and they have enhanced my mindset, my performance, my stamina, my moods, my hormones and my overall health, including sending my autoimmune diagnosis into remission. Some of these may sound strange, but I promise you they are all game changers and actual ancient medicine! If you want more information on any of these practices….please feel free to reach out!
Taping your mouth shut while you sleep
Organic coffee enemas
Raw local honey in the eyes
Humming (or simply intentionally “moaning”) your exhales, especially when trying to fall back asleep
Shaking or using a vibration plate
Tapping with fingertips or soft palms all over the face and body
Dry brushing the body with a soft brush
Cold exposure – ice baths, cold showers, cold plunging
Walking barefoot on the earth – or barefoot gardening
Rucking
Taking on challenging or difficult tasks with a creative approach or forcing yourself to do things that you don’t necessarily want to do or things that make you uncomfortable (within safety reason, of course) .
